My recent stay at Wataya Inn left me with mixed impressions on the luxury versus value scale. The spacious and bright room in traditional Japanese tatami style with a shower and bathroom was a delightful retreat. The little courtyard added a charming touch, perfect for unwinding with a drink amidst its cozy ambiance. The convenience of parking and proximity to Enoshima beach and Kamakura was a definite plus for exploring the area without being amidst the crowd.On the value side, the complimentary toiletries and fluffy bath mats were thoughtful touches. However, the need to change rooms during my stay was a slight inconvenience. The owners' efforts to accommodate with a complimentary room upgrade and a free bike to reach Enoshima were indeed appreciated gestures. For those seeking a decent stay with convenient amenities at a reasonable cost, this inn could be a suitable choice.
